In 1999, a generous supporter donated several WW1 posters from his extensive collection to AVA Gallery and Art Center (AVA) in Lebanon, NH, with the understanding that they could be sold for the benefit of the organization. Subsequently, these posters were sold through well-known auction houses. Recently, the WW1 poster collector donated additional works to AVA; this website was created to assist in their sale and support AVA’s mission. AVA Gallery and Art Center is dedicated to promoting the visual arts through year-round exhibitions and
educational programs that nurture, support and challenge New Hampshire and Vermont artists, and to providing
art classes for children, teens and adults of all levels and abilities. AVA's programs, including special events
that foster interaction between artists, patrons of the arts and the general public, are dedicated to recognizing
art's enriching contribution to our lives. Founded in 1973, AVA (Alliance for the Visual Arts) is a 501 (C)(3) not-for-profit organization. |
